Black History Month Celebration - Sunday, February 9, 2025

Celebrate Black History Month at the Westmoreland Museum of American Art on Sunday, February 9, 2025. There will be live music performances, community partner tables, art activities for all ages, and black-owned food vendors . The event is free and open to all. To register for a free round-trip shuttle leaving New Kensington at 9:30 a.m. and returning at 3:15 p.m., visit www.showclix.com/event/new-kensington-shuttle. 2 Hour Delay For Students - Thursday, January 23, 2025

The New Kensington-Arnold School District will operate on a 2-hour delay for students on Thursday, January 23, 2025 in order to facilitate essential professional development for faculty members. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Care Mobile - Wednesday, March 5, 2025

Care Mobile will be visiting Valley Junior/Senior High School on Wednesday, March 5th, 9:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Care Mobile offers medical care to children for no out-of-pocket costs. See the Health Services Tab to download the Parent Consent Form and other important documents.

General School Board Meeting and Finance Committee Meeting - Tuesday, January 14, 2025

The New Kensington-Arnold School Board has rescheduled the January School Board Meeting to Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 6:00 p.m.

The New Kensington-Arnold School Board will have a Finance Committee Meeting on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 immediately following the General School Board Meeting. January is Mid-Year Benchmark Time

January is mid-year benchmark time! All students in grades K-6 will have their reading fluency assessed using the Dibels Assessment, while all students in grades 1-6 will take the STAR Math and STAR Reading tests. The mid-year results will be sent home after all assessments are complete.

PTA Meeting - Tuesday, January 28th

The PTA will hold a meeting in the cafeteria at Roy A Hunt Elementary
School at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 28th. This meeting is for parents of ALL students in grades K-6. Come join the meeting to learn about upcoming events and how you can help with these activities!
